Leonie's birthday (belated post)

Here we are - enjoying the swimming pool.  This has been the hottest summer on record and the pool sure feels nice!

 And here we are, drying off in the sun and having some cake! Yes, Beau, we see you (crazy little sisters, eh)

 Did someone say sushi? that's one of our favourite foods!! So, of course, we are having it for a picnic lunch!

 Sisters and best friends forever <3

 And ice cream! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

 Is it present time? I think it is!!

 I have the BEST sister in the world!!! She got me a book on women in rock music and she and Dad picked out a Transformers truck for me!!

 Squee!! Mom and dad got me clothes!! I know Mom caught me staring longingly at this outfit in the catalogue!!

Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day to all our fellow Canadians! Nous sommes fieres d'etre canadienne!

Mom will post her pictures of Leo's belated beach birthday party once she gets them off the camera and uploaded.

Leonie here, sneaking on the computer while Mom is asleep and Beau is practising ballet. I learned a new chord on my guitar and school is going well. Beau and I have formed a band together and we practise almost every day.

Happy Belated Ostara/Easter

Beau here (about that: I decided that after 6 years of being the 4th Isabelle in dance class to change my name to Ysabeau. Mom supports this as Ladyhawke is one of her favourite movies too). It took Leo and me awhile to figure out how to get the pictures off of Mom's camera and uploaded.

Mom and dad set up an egg hunt for us complete with new dresses!!

Leo does not always like having her photo taken and was getting impatient with the egg hunt. Mom says the photo thing is a tween thing and I will understand when I am that old.

Introducing Leonie

Shortly after dinner a couple of days ago, there was a knock at the door. I opened it and there was a girl my age standing there!

"Hi, I'm Leonie!"/"Salut, je m'appelle Leonie!"

"Welcome to our house. I'm Isabelle, but you can call me Izzy or Belle for short."

She waved.

I waved back.

Then we hugged.  Just then, Mom saw us and said "Oh good, I'm glad you two are getting along so well.  Belle, why don't you give Leonie a tour of the house while I get a bed made up for her."

We ended up in the living room and - guess what, she brought her two tabby kittens (Fox and MacKenzie) with her.  She must have known how much I have been missing Tutu!! We shared some leftover Christmas cookies...

and talked and talked and talked...

Mom noticed Leonie was starting to get really sleepy. Oops...apparently her bedtime was 3 hours ago!

  

We changed into our jammies and got into bed...and giggled so loudly that we woke Mom up. Whoops!

They look so sweet when they are asleep!
